Young Media Network

YMN was created with the aim of networking, co-production and cooperation between youth media and media for the young people, with the aim of promoting and producing content for children and young people according to the highest standards of professional journalism, with the aim of connecting and mobility of journalists and increasing the capacity of youth media and media for young people.

YMN je nastao sa ciljem umrežavanja, koprodukcije i saradnje između omladinskih medija i medija za mlade, sa ciljem promovisanja i produkcije sadržaja za decu i mlade po najvišim standardima profesionalnog novinarstva, sa ciljem povezivanja i mobilnosti novinara i novinarki i sa povećanjem kapaciteta omladinskih medija i medija za mlade.

YMN brought together professionals and multiple award-winning journalists and media with a common purpose. Young Media Network will produce its own content, but will also support the growth and visibility of each member.

Young Media Network (YMN) is officially established in November 2022, but the network nonformal worked together for more than three years. This is a network that brings youth media, media that produce content for young people, professional individuals and non-governmental organizations that produce content for young people with the mission of partnership, joint work and creation of a better environment for young people.

Founding assembly

The association has 6 members of the management board:

We more experienced journalists can take a page from their playbook”, Serbian media association Local Press, genral secretary Snežana Milošević about YMN.

The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, or OSCE, in Serbia, is a co-organizer of the annual Brave New Media Forum, and it welcomed the agreement. “We see this network as an important future player in executing ethical, professional and commercial standards in youth media,” said Srdjan Djurdjević, of OSCE’s Media Department. “Therefore, we will support the activities of the Young Media Network.”
